Fans of Jeff Buckey will soon be able to rent the musician’s former Memphis home through Airbnb. Buckley’s one-time home was recently purchased for $143,800 by real estate agent and concert booker David Lorrison and developer Eric Goode. The pair have restored the Midtown home in order to rent in out on Airbnb, with a target initial listing date of Thanksgiving. Buckley fans have made frequent pilgrimages to his Memphis home for years, and the two new owners of the property hope to give Buckley enthusiasts a special experience during their stay at the house. “I want this to be in homage to him, but not like a hipster’s Graceland,” Lorrison explained. Plans are to furnish the interior with period-appropriate furniture dating back to Buckley’s short time there before he died in 1997. Buckley’s lone studio album, Grace, recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of its original release date back on August 23. (Consequence of Sound)
