During an interview with Chuck Armstrong on Loudwire Nights on Wednesday (July 31), Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale reflected back on thirty years of his band’s debut album, Sixteen Stone, while also optimistically looking ahead to releasing new music. “It feels like a rush,” Rossdale said about the three decades that have passed since Sixteen Stone was released. “A blur. It’s quite disarming, because it’s such an unfortunate number. If I can think 30 years backward or be aware of that time, I therefore could think 30 years into the future — and then I’ll be dead. The best thing about being young is there is literally no horizon. It’s sobering. It’s like my daily ice bath. The mention of those kinds of numbers, it’s like an ice bath … I hate them.”

Rossdale was far more positive when looking forward to the new Bush music that is on its way. “We’ve done a new Bush record,” he disclosed. “[We’ve] recorded 10 songs. “[So we’ll] start fresh in the new year. I’m trying to keep [the album] to 10 songs.” Bush is currently on their Loaded The Greatest Hits summer tour with Jerry Cantrell and Candlebox. (Loudwire)
